Best Meal I Ever Had
Ala the Food Network's current special. The Best meal I ever had has to be put in the proper context to understand and I'll tell the whole story soon. Suffice to say I was all strung out on lack of sleep and too little food or water for too many days. Sardines from a can on top of unsalted Uneeda Biscuits and a bottle of Bacardi 151 to chase it down with. A close second was a cold pot of chicken ala king, eaten in the dark and in the rain with only my bare hands as utensils. What was the best meal you ever had? Wander |

Another Gone
Damn 2010 Really? That was a fast decade. I don't seem to remember much of it. Maybe that's a good things. I do remember some things about last year though. 1) I moved from a place that was killing my spirit to a place where I feel more at home than any place I've lived in the past 16 years...except for the farm of course. 2) I met someone who changed my life for the better. 3) I got into music photography and on the last day of the year was offered a job doing it semi-professionally. And the same person who offered me the job published one of my photos to an online newspaper. 4) My photography overtook my jewelry design as a main creative outlet and I placed highly in a few competitions and sold some of my work. 5) I continued to have a series of bizarre metaphysical experiences...par for the course. 6) The Chief of our tribe resigned. 7) My cousin and I held a successful Pow Wow which we have been planning for more than 10 years. 8) I discovered the fate of my long lost great, great grandfather. 9) I had some of the best meals of my life 10) I visited NYC, San Francisco, Portland, Washington DC and Seattle all in the same year. 11) I helped one of my best friends celebrate his 85th birthday. 2010 is already shaping up to be a good year. Good-bye 2009
I've got a few minutes left before I have to be at work. Yes, I'm aware of the time. Yes it's cold outside and there's a lot of snow on the ground since it's been snowing non-stop yesterday and the night before. I just want to say to all my lj-friends out there... and to those of you who stuck by my side regardless of whatever's going on in my life... thanks for everything. I wish you all a very happy new year. Something about tonight scares me. So as soon as I return home from work, I think I'll go back to bed and rest up. I'll leave the celebration up to my family--my wonderful husband and my amazing child. And to my dearest friends. This is my last post for this year. And the last of its kind. (yes, I'm well aware of my last few posts being set to "public" viewing as well as this one's security setting, it'll be changed soon enough...maybe) So, good bye 2009. Good bye, everyone. More stuff...
I know it has nothing to do with the game itself, but I posted this on my personal journal. I'm curious to know what some of you would say about the questions I've posted and maybe answer them either in-character or out-of-character (or even both!) Anyway, I won't be online tomorrow. So I'd like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you folks out there for a good year here in LiS and in RavenBlack's vampire game. Once in a blue moon....
With the blue moon rising tomorrow night, along with a lunar eclipse and the New Year ushering in, got any last words to say about 2009? Was it a good year for you? Are there moments that stand out over the rest? Are there moments that you'd rather forget? And what about a new year's resolution? What is your new year's resolution? How about New Year's Superstitions? Do you have any? How do you celebrate the coming of the new year? Who will be the 1st person you'd say "Happy New Year" to? .... I ask because I'm curious. Something about tomorrow night doesn't seem right to me. Matter of fact, I have this anxiety that I can't rid myself off. Is it because of the eclipse and the blue moon or is it because another year is ending and I feel that I don't have much to show for. I don't feel like I got a lot things done. So... yeah, I ask these things because they're some of the many questions that's floating in my head at the moment. |

Stuff....
As posted in The Sanguinarium's forum: It is the 30th and I do appreciate those who have sent well-wishes when I wasn't able to post anything here due to my accident. I do thank those who have posted on my behalf. I have removed the splint around my left hand but my right hand is still in a cast and will be that way for several weeks. I've taken into consideration the holiday season and that people are off vacationing and spending time with loved ones. But I also took into consideration those who have made an effort to post here. I did offer a 100k coin to the one who writes the best RP story. But seeing that there wasn't enough rp-ing going on, to be fair to everyone who posted (all 10 of you) I have decided to give each of you 10,000 coins and a few more candy canes for your trouble. Actually counting OOC + RP there's been a total of 10 people. So, yeah... thanks for the effort. I shall be contacting you momentarily to arrange for a time and date to transfer coins. Unrelatedly, someone stole my jumbo pencil with the oversized eraser tip thingie. So I'm using the chopstick (the same one I used to scratch the hard to reach area inside the cast) to type. They're having roast (stew?) made with guinness. Been cooking for 18 hours in the slow cooker. While I'm all alone here at home, trying to fend for myself, waiting for frozen fish to thaw out so I can feed me something. Bah! I shall use same chopstick to press buttons and call for chinese take out instead. Yay for deliveries. No more cooky or bakey here. Me waited long time. |

My little half-breed....
This is Baxter. He's our little Mal-Chi (maltese + chihuahua) We've had him for several months now. Don't be deceived by his cuteness. He can be so annoying sometimes. The little shit. Which is why I call him "Baxturd". This was one of those times when he's annoying me. I caught him chewing up my shoes. He dragged it to the kitchen to chew it up and succeeded a bit. Then, he tried to lick me to death and disarm me with his cuteness. It didn't work. The little bastard! But aww, he makes for a good snuggle upper and feet warmer.  Baxter says, "I'm in ur keetchin' eatin' ur shooz. They're rrruff!"(Go me. Hooray for typing with a pencil! I seem to have lost my voice so I can't do phone post-y thingies.) |

Christmas morning surprise
